The service was very friendly and the food was very good. A cordon bleu was still raw on the inside, when I pointed this out to the waitress, it was of course made again immediately. A visit can be combined very well with the wildlife park right next to it.

First class kitchen team! Manageable menu with fresh dishes (instead of an XXL selection and everything from the freezer). Reserve the basement inside or outside with a panoramic view. Rehragout recommended, leave space for desert.

Without much expectation, we went there for lunch after a visit to the wildlife park. There aren't many opportunities to sit outside, but you have a great view of the Rotttal. The staff was super nice and helpful. Upon request, a parasol was set up immediately (it was very hot). Drinks are in place super quickly. The menu consists of 3 pages including drinks. Therefor very interesting but also standard dishes. The food was also very quick and was just awesome. Side salad 3.90 euros (large and super tasty as well as freshly made and not served hours ago) Main courses also hot and absolutely delicious and plentiful. Price was reasonable and customary. Any time.

Sensational dishes. Were on June 1st 2020 on the beautiful terrace - service data Johanna was very courteous and very friendly - the food - attention to detail and an excellent kitchen! We felt well looked after and that in brilliant weather. Since you can only give 5 stars with distinction :-) CONTINUE SO !!!

We are actually regular here and like to go here. I don't think the renovation that is currently taking place is necessary, because the inn had a really nice charm, but I'm excited. The fresh kitchen is an absolute highlight and the service staff are always eager and friendly

Great food and really nice location in castle Ortenburg

After visiting the wildlife park in the castle cellar, I really have to say that everything is right here, from the nice service to the excellent food. Will definitely come again.

The ambience is unbeatable, the chef is the chef and an experience in summer and winter. Excellent quality of food and beverages. My favorites are the game dishes but you should definitely try the huge steak. Feel free to ask if you want other side dishes, that's not a problem. The steak in the picture above is normally served with fried potatoes, but was a dream with a fresh salad garnish. If you come in larger groups, it is best to call beforehand. Especially when it should be a steak meal. Then there is definitely enough for everyone.
